The Byron Bay Triathlon was first held back in 1996 and has always been known as a must do season ending event on the race calendar. On Saturday the 11th of May, Coach Forest will take up the mic at the Byron Bay Triathlon as Race Announcer for the event. Several Run Forest Run Family members will be competing on the day and staying in town on the Saturday night to celebrate the end of the season.
There is a huge open men’s and women’s field ready to battle it out for honours in the Olympic Distance event. Heading the event is local boy Matt Slee and Gold Coast based Courtney Gilfillan.
